David Beckham has paid tribute to his “amazing wife” in honour of their wedding anniversary.

The former footballer tied the knot with Victoria 18 years ago, and the A list couple have made sure to mark the milestone.

David shared a picture of himself and Victoria in black leather in a nod to the days when they used to wear matching outfits.

He captioned the Instagram post: “Wow we really did this. Happy Anniversary to an amazing wife , mummy and strong business woman @victoriabeckham. Love you x.”

He also tagged sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz as well as using the hashtag “#Harpernotoninstagram” to acknowledge their daughter Harper.

Victoria also paid tribute to her husband by sharing a picture from their wedding day.

She captioned the image: “I love you Kisses x.”

Cruz also wished his “dream mum and dad” a happy anniversary with a picture of them exchanging their vows.

He wrote: “Dream mum and dad I can't believe it has been 18 years so happy anniversary @davidbeckham and @victoriabeckham.

“I love you so much and I want you to know that you are the best parents in the whole wide world. I love you.”

The celebrity couple started dating in 1997 before welcoming their first child, son Brooklyn, in March 1999. They tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland on July 4 of the same year.

Addressing the picture in a Facebook Live interview, David said he and Victoria are affectionate with their children because they want to ‘show them love’.

He said: “I got criticised for kissing my daughter on the lips the other day. I kiss all my kids on the lips.

“Brooklyn, maybe not. Brooklyn's 18, he might find that a little bit strange. But I'm very affectionate with the kids.

“It's how I was brought up, and Victoria, and it's how we are with our children.”

He finished: “We want to show our kids love and we protect them, look after them, and support them, and you know, we're very affectionate with them.”
