Real Betis star Isco has jokingly said what the club may have to do to sign Antony permanently from Manchester United.

The United loanee joined Betis in the January transfer window on a deal that runs until the end of the season. Having been signed for £85million back in 2022, Antony eventually fell down the pecking order in the squad under new head coach Ruben Amorim this season.

Antony had scored just one goal across 14 appearances for United before his loan move to Betis. Since moving to Spain, the Brazilian has scored four goals with four assists in just 12 outings and has become a key player for the La Liga outfit.

On Sunday night, Antony helped Betis claim a 2-1 win over local rivals Sevilla in La Liga to boost their chances of qualifying for next season's Champions League. Former Real Madrid star Isco was alongside Antony in starring for Betis praise the United loan as well as explaining what "surprised" him about his new teammate.

"We have to do one of those crowdfunding campaigns to see if we can bring him in for at least one more year," joked Isco during an interview with DAZN.

Isco continued: "I'm happy to enjoy Antony. The truth is that he has surprised us all with the humility with which he arrived, with his desire to help, to contribute. The truth is that we are very happy.

"We have noticed a change since he arrived, and we are very happy for him, for the team, and eager to continue doing things well."

Antony will return to United in the summer following the conclusion of his loan spell but could be set for a permanent exit when the summer transfer window opens. The loan deal with Betis does not include the option to make the move permanent, and it remains to be seen if the La Liga club will attempt to sign the United star when the window opens.
